50-Year Reunion Payment/Registration (through 8-1-2022)

Event Details

"I'm Still Standing" is our 50-year reunion motto for good reason. We've lost nearly 50 classmates that we've confirmed so far, and the total number is likely twice that since we've only located half our class. .As such, we  encourage everyone to attend our milestone gathering to reconnect and catch up with your old friends, reminisce about the good old days, and mingle and establish new friends!.  .

Since this is likely our last major gathering, your reunion committee has planned a memorable three-day event featuring Kenny Metcalf as Elton John and his Early Years band.  Kenny is an accomplished musican and vocalist, who is well known in Californa and plays at all the major venues. Most notable is that Kenny graduated from LMHS '77, and will be performing his first concert at a LMHS reunion.  Our reunion will also include a Wednesday night icebreaker with appetizers, a Thursday night main event with a sit down dinner and Kenny Metcalf concert, and a Sunday morning farewell breakfast.

PRICE:   You must purchase a ticket for the Main Event to attend any or all events described below.  If you are unable to attend the Main Event or any other event, we are unable to provide any partial refunds to ensure we meet our minimum hotel obligations.  However, we will gladly refund you in full if you have to cancel your attendance altogether by September 15, 2022.  Effective immediately through July 31, 2022, the price for each ticket is $105 (if paid by check) or $111.60 (if paid by credit card, which includes a 5.9% processing fee).  From August 1 through September 15, the ticket price is $125 (check) or $133 (credit card, which includes the processing fee rounded up to the nearest dollar). Please note that we cannot guarantee a ticket if you respond after September 15, since we must meet our hotel contract obligations to provide advance notice of the final number of guests and main dinner entrees.  Also,we will not accept payment at the door.

Please remember that we need sufficient funds in our checking account to pay our reunion bills on time!  Therefore, please do not procrastinate and pay promptly!

  • If paying by credit card, please select the number of tickets under the "MAIN EVENT (ff paid by credit card)" activity and answer all questions thereafter.
  • If you plan to attend the other activities, please select the number of attendees for the Wednesday icebreaker and Frday farewell breakfast activities and answer all questions. Please remember that you must purchase a ticket to attend these activities.


Again, be sure to answer ALL the questions to provide your reunion committee with the necessary information to ensure that the hotel sets up each event with the correct number of tables and chairs, and prepares the dinner entrees based on your request, among other things.



ICEBREAKER (Wed 9/28/2022 from 5:00 pm to 12 midnight in the Valencia Ballroom):

Come when you are ready; leave when you are tired. Event (casual attire) includes appetizers (Cheeseboard, Vegetable platter, Chicken satays, and Potstickers), background music/dancing, and a cash bar (Please purchase your drinks from our bartender inside the Valencia Room, including our Main Event, to assist us with meeting our hotel minimum charge.  The price is the same as the hotel’s public bar).

MAIN EVENT (Thu 9/29/2022 from 5:00 pm to 12 midnight in the Citrus Grove Ballroom)

Please arrive promptly since we will be taking photos after you check in.  Event (dressy casual) will feature Kenny Metcalf and his tribute band playing Elton John songs from his early years, sit-down dinner (Please select your choice of chicken florentine, baked salmon, or stir-fry vegetables for each ticket purchased in the registration/payment section), background music, and a cash bar.

FAREWELL BREAKFAST (Fri 9/30/2022 from 7:00 am to 12 noon in the Laurel Ballroom).

Join us at your convenience. Event (casual) will provide an opportunity to say our farewells and enjoy a full breakfast (optional). The breakfast is free for all Embassy hotel guests, and $27.96 (includes tax) for non-hotel guests paid to the front desk prior to this event. You do NOT have to have breakfast to join us!

If you plan to have breakfast (whether free or paid), please register accordingly so we can give a headcount to the hotel.to ensure sufficient food is prepared.



Our reunion will be held at the Embassy Suites Brea located at 900 E. Birch Street, Brea, CA 92821 featuring all suites, free full breakfast for hotel guests, free parking, swimming pool, exercise gym, and no resort fees.  We have blocked rooms (2 Room Suite-1 King Bed-nonsmoking or 2 Room Suite - 2 Queen Beds - Non Smoking) for September 28, 2022 through September 30, 2022 at a special rate of $159 (plus tax) per night.  Same special rate if you plan to arrive a day earlier (September 27) or leave a day later (October 1). Booking is simple by clicking this link Hotel Reservations or calling them at 714-990-6000 and giving them our group code “XLM”.  Since the number of rooms discounted at the special rate are limited, we recommend that you make your hotel reservations as soon as possible (If necessary, you can always cancel at no charge if you cancel before 11:59 pm PST on the day prior to your arrival date). If you encounter problems or are advised that no rooms are available, please email Chris Kawate at lmhs72reunion@gmail.com to work with the hotel to add additional rooms.


MEMORY BOOKS.  Pete Cangialosi, our classmate and reunion photographer, will prepare a memory book after our 50-Year reunion,  It will be available for sale on this website after our reunion.  Price and other related information will be announced later..  


DONATIONS WELCOMED!  Since we are depleting our checking account to offset some of the reunion costs, please make a donation , which will be used to offset the costs of this website's subscription fees and other related costs.
